A deck of cards is spread face down in a circle on the table. A small dagger is placed in the middle and spun until it comes to a halt pointing to one card. The other cards are shown to be different and a prediction which has been in full view throughout is removed from an envelope.

When the card is turned over, the blade of destiny is shown to have worked... they match exactly!
